The Scientific Committee will be seeking to create a program that addresses a spread of issues and professional experiences that attract a broad discipline of delegates. The Scientific Committee would therefore like to take this opportunity to invite you to submit an abstract.

PRESENTER INFORMATION
ORAL PRESENTATIONS Selected authors will be invited to present their papers in an appropriate session. Presenters will be invited to participate in a question and answer period at the conclusion of each session.
POSTER PRESENTATIONS Submissions should relate to the themes and authors should nominate poster when submitting their abstract. Abstracts submitted for oral presentations that have not been accepted may be invited to provide a poster presentation.
Authors MUST submit a separate abstract for each presentation put forward for consideration.
Abstracts must be received no later than 2 July 2021. (Call For Abstracts has been extended to Friday 16 July 2021, 1700 AEST.)
All abstracts must be submitted electronically via the presentation portal
Faxed abstracts will not be accepted.
Abstracts must be no longer than 600 words.
The presenter’s biography must be provided and be no longer than 200 words.
Notification of Acceptance will be provided in the week of 30 August 2021.
Abstracts may be reproduced in the online conference proceedings.
Authors can advise whether they authorise the publication of their abstract in the Journal of Military and Veterans’ Health via the online submission form. Please note the JMVH will be printed in time for the conference and will be used as the hard-copy handbook at the conference.
We also request permission to reproduce your power point presentation on the Conference website when uploading your presentation onsite. It is hoped that authors will also submit full papers for publication in the Journal of Military and Veterans’ Health.
At least one author of each accepted submission will agree to register for the conference, pay the appropriate registration fee, and present as scheduled.
LATEST PROGRAM | Please download the latest version of the program. Take note of your presentation time. |
POWERPOINT PREPARATION | Please bring your power point presentation with you on a USB. You need to upload this at least 4 hours before your scheduled presentation at the Speakers Lounge located on the same level as the AMMA Registration Desk. The ratio for your power point presentation should be 16:9 Authors are requested to complete the speakers authority form to allow for their presentation to be uploaded the the conference website after the Conference when uploading their presentation. |
TIMING | Please check the program for your specific presentation allowance, the majority of presentations are 20 minutes in length. If you wish to have a Q&A as part of your presentation, please include this in your time allocation. |
SPEAKERS PREPARATION ROOM | We have a great team of AV technicians who will be assisting all speakers during the conference. As part of this, we will have a speakers preparation room. Presenters are requested to upload their presentation at least 4 hours prior to their presentation time. Note even if you are using your own laptop – please visit the speakers preparation room and AV tech, so that they can make note of this. It will ensure that all presentations run smoothly; and we will be able to stick to our tight schedule. |

DISPLAY TIMES | Posters will be on display at the conference from Friday 8 April 2022 (10am); through till Saturday 9 April 2022. Presenters need to bring their printed poster in A0 size to the registration desk where they will be directed to their allocated poster board. Presenters need to adhere the poster to the poster board by morning tea time on Friday 8 April 2022 and retrieve their poster after the last session on Saturday 9 April 2022. Uncollected posters will be disposed of. |
POSTER SIZE | All poster authors are requested to prepare their posters in an A0 format. Please prepare your poster in PORTRAIT FORMAT. See below for layout sizes. |
AFFIXING YOUR POSTER | We will be using display boards that will require either velcro dots or blue tac. We will have a limited supply on site of each. |
